The band specialises in weddings where one or both sides of the family are Scottish; however, the popularity of Scottish ceilidh dancing is such that frequently the parties have only tenuous connections with Scotland!
Some of the guests may have some (perhaps rusty) recollection of the dances we do, but the emphasis is on getting everybody to join in and have fun without taking any of it too seriously. The dances we do are all ‘entry-level’ which means that any average person can do them. We walk through the dances beforehand and then ‘call’ during the dance for only as long as is necessary. The order of the dances is important, as it is designed to mix people up and build on movements previously used.
